Berlin-Schönefeld International Airport is the second airport after Tegel within Berlin, serving flights arriving in the German capital. During the division of Germany, this airport was the only one in the German Democratic Republic. Soviet troops were grouped here, having established regular air links with Moscow. The unification of Germany sharply pushed Schönefeld airport into the background, passing him concern for low-cost flights. However, here, as in 1946, four flights of Aeroflot airline from Moscow, as well as a direct flight from St. Petersburg, arrive here.

The airport consists of four terminals, but the main work is concentrated in the largest terminal “A”. The most convenient and fastest way to get to Berlin, of course, is by renting a car, but you can also get to the capital - in 25 minutes by Aeroexpress train departing every half hour from the Flughafen Berlin Schoenefeld station, which can be reached on foot in a couple of minutes. Near the terminal there is a bus stop connecting to metro stations and railway stations of the city. Transfer or taxi will take you to the center of the capital for about 50 euros. In the pavilion near Terminal A, you can rent a car and visit not only Berlin, but also the capital of Saxony Dresden, Versailles North Potsdam, the banks of the Elbe River and the surrounding blue lakes, cliffs and dense forests.
