General Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the website Bookingcar-Europe.com operated by " BookingCar ("ITS" LLC) ". 
 

General provisions

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter – "Conditions") apply to all the contents in this booking engine. Please read these Conditions before using this website. The use of this website indicates your agreement with these Conditions. If you do not agree to any statement of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use this website, or any services provided by the Company. 
 
1.3. 
 
Bookingcar may also unilaterally modify, without notifying the customer, these Conditions at any time and such a modification will take effect immediately upon posting the modified Terms & Conditions on this website. According to it, your further access or use of this website is deemed to be your acceptance of the modified Conditions. 
 
1.4. 
 
Bookingcar does not own or operate any car hire companies. 
 
1.5. 
 
Terms & Conditions between you and the rental car provider: 
 
1.5.1. 
 
Your car rental contract will be between you and the rental car provider. Terms & Conditions of the rental agreement are available on this booking engine when you select the car type and enter other relevant information. 
 
1.5.2. 
 
When making a car hire reservation on this booking engine you are bound by and deemed to have accepted the Terms & Conditions of the relevant rental car provider. 
 
1.5.3. 
 
Bookingcar is not a party to the contract between you and the rental car provider and has no responsibility or liability (directly or indirectly) to any party in respect of the Terms & Conditions of your contract with the rental car provider or any problems arising with the hired car pursuant to that contract or any other issues between you and the rental car provider. The confirmation voucher is not an agreement that regulates the car rental service. A rental agreement will be signed with the car rental provider at the time of picking up the rented car. 
 
1.5.4. 
 
The Customer is obliged to carefully read the rental agreement before signing it when picking up the rented car. The customer’s signature means acceptance of all points in the agreement and all charges. 
 
1.5.5. 
 
Bookingcar makes no warranty or representation in relation to any rental car provider or any car rented by any rental car provider. It is the rental car provider's own responsibility to provide you with a rental car rented on this booking engine. 
 
1.5.6. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible and will have no liability if the rental car provider's Terms & Conditions available on this booking engine have been or are changed by the rental car provider. 
 
1.5.7. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for any price change or additional charge made by the car rental provider that is the result of the customer violating the rules of using the car established by the car rental provider. 
 
1.5.8. 
 
After receiving the confirmation voucher, the customer has no right to withdraw from the completed booking according to the laws of France. 
 
1.5.9. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for commitments deriving from the car rental agreement concluded between the customer and the car rental provider. 
 
1.5.10. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for information provided by the customer online: wrongly entered or misspelled email addresses, driver names, incorrect phone numbers or credit card numbers. 
 
1.5.11. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for compensating the customer for damages or losses resulting from the actions or cars of the particular car rental provider not complying with the rental agreement and/or applicable law. 
 
1.5.12. 
 
If security deposits have been blocked or withdrawn, these transactions are initiated by the particular car rental provider on the basis of the car rental agreement concluded between the car rental supplier and the customer. Bookingcar is not a rental agent, but brokerage service and cannot be responsible for hold transactions. 
 

Data protection 

 
2.1. 
 
Bookingcar recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of personal data collected on this booking engine. 
 
 
 
Therefore, Bookingcar is careful with personal information, taking steps to keep it secure and ensure it is used only for our legitimate business purposes. 
 
 
 
2.2. 
 
We are required to send your information to the rental car provider you have booked a rental car services with so that the rental car provider knew who you are and when you are going to use car hire services. 
 
2.3. 
 
Our company takes care that personal data of the customer are processed according to the personal data protection requirements applicable in the European Union including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. Bookingcar ensures that the customer’s personal data will be processed in accordance with lawful business purposes in order to ensure providing the service requested by the customer. The customer agrees that: 
 
1. Customer’s email will be used by Bookingcar to send confirmation of the booking in the form of a Voucher. 
 
 
 
2. Customer’s phone number will be used by Bookingcar to clarify questions, between supplier and a customer, regarding the booking if they arise. 
 
 
 
2.4. 
 
It is allowed to use Bookingcar to make car rental bookings. It is prohibited to use the website for illegal purposes: to make bookings that are speculative or false, or to obtain data on car rental providers or their car rental offers. By accepting these Conditions, the customer agrees to use this website only for its legal purpose. 
 

Reservation 

 
3.1. 
 
After a reservation is made, our operators will contact car hire provider to confirm your reservation request. When your reservation is confirmed, Bookingcar will send you an email with the voucher (confirmed RESERVATION) within 24h-48h so that you had all the necessary information before your arrival. Please note that under certain circumstances, i.e. busy locations; it may take up to 3 days. 
 
3.1.1. 
 
Please have in mind that if you book a car less than 2 days before the start of your rental, in some cases voucher may be sent to you at the last moment, 10 minutes before pickup time at the latest. 
 
3.2. 
 
Pictures of cars shown on the search page are informative. The rented car provided at pick-up may differ from the one in the picture. 
 
3.3. 
 
We cannot guarantee a specific make or model of the car. The car on your voucher is the most common vehicle for the class you've rented. At the time of a pick-up, you will be provided with a car model on your voucher if it is available. In all other cases, you will receive an adequate substitute or a free upgrade. 
 
3.4. 
 
Bookingcar uses your e-mail address only to send you a voucher. We use your phone number only to contact you if there are any questions with your reservation. 
 
3.5. 
 
Bookingcar recommends you to check the details of the reservation e.g. country, location and rental period thoroughly. Customers must read the Terms and Conditions before paying for the booking and completing the reservation. If the meaning or consequences of the Terms and Conditions are not clear to the customer, it is strongly recommended that the customers contact Bookingcar via email: reservations@bookingcar-europe.com to get additional information about the Terms and Conditions prior to accepting them. 
 
3.6. 
 
As a condition of your use of this booking engine, you guarantee Bookingcar that you will not use this booking engine for any purpose that is unlawful, prohibited or contrary to Conditions. 
 
3.7. 
 
In particular, by proceeding to access this booking engine, you agree: 
 
3.7.1. 
 
Not to use it to make any speculative or false reservations. 
 
3.7.2. 
 
Not to use the name Bookingcar for commercial purposes without obtaining previously written permission from Bookingcar. 
 
3.8. 
 
It's allowed to pick up a car at one location and to drop it off at another location. Additional one way fee may be taken in this case. Basically one way fee is not included in the rental price indicated during the reservation (i.e. one way fee is also not included in the rental price indicated on your voucher, please see more detailed information on one way policy and it cost in local Terms & Conditions of rental car provider). 
 
3.9. 
 
It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review all information provided about the selected car before making a booking as the rental conditions of different car rental providers may vary. 
 
3.10. 
 
By booking the selected car on Bookingcar, the customer accepts the rental conditions of the particular car rental provider. Bookingcar displays rental conditions on the website as approved by the car rental provider at the current time. However, Bookingcar assumes no responsibility with regard to the customer if the rental conditions or terms and conditions of the particular car rental provider change. 
 
3.11. 
 
You can amend your booking preferences by submitting a request via the My Order section of the website no later than 48 hours before your rental is due to start. Bookingcar warns that modification requests received less than 48 hours before the pick-up date/time will not be processed and Bookingcar is not responsible for any loss or damages suffered by the customer in this case. 
 

Cancellation, Non-refundable, Amendments, Compensation Voucher 

 
4.1. 
 
Cancellation policy for Fully Prepaid Bookings and Deposit/Partially Prepaid Bookings: 
 
4.1.1. 
 
If you cancel your booking 48 hours or more prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 60.00 EUR*. If your prepayment is less than 60.00 EUR*, you will not receive a refund. 
 
4.1.2. 
 
If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before pick-up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 150.00 EUR*. If your prepayment is less than 150.00 EUR*, you will not receive a refund. 
 
4.1.3. 
 
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before pick-up, you will not receive a refund. 
 
4.1.4. 
 
No refund will be applied for unused rental days. 
 
4.1.5. 
 
You cannot cancel your booking if your rental has already started or if the booking did not take place for some reason. 
 
4.1.6. 
 
If you have purchased Cancel Protection you can cancel your booking without cancellation fee up to 1 hour before scheduled pickup. 
 
4.1.7. 
 
You can choose the Compensation Voucher in personal cabinet when cancelling your booking. The Voucher is equal to the amount charged during the original booking of car rental services without any cancellation fee. Voucher is valid for 2 years from the date of its issue. It will expire after 24 months and cannot be extended. 
 
You can cancel your booking in “My Order” section or by sending a cancellation email providing your booking number to: reservations@bookingcar-europe.com. 
 
 
 
*Or the same amount in USD/GBP at the exchange rate on the cancellation date. 
 
 
 
4.2. 
 
Non-refundable 
 
 
 
The product is non-refundable in the following cases: 
 
 
 
4.2.1. 
 
You did not inform us about the cancellation of your booking prior to your pickup. 
 
4.2.2. 
 
You failed to pick the car up at the arranged time and date. 
 
4.2.3. 
 
You failed to provide the documentation that is required to pick the car up. 
 
4.2.4. 
 
You failed to provide a credit card with enough available funds and with the main driver's name printed on it. 
 
4.2.5. 
 
If a customer canceled the booking with the supplier directly, instead of canceling on our website Bookingcar through the My Order section where the original booking was made. 
 
4.2.6. 
 
You made the booking less than 48 hours before the rental is due to start. 
 
4.2.7. 
 
If within a period of 21 calendar days there is no reply from the Renter to any of the Company’s emails, the case will be closed automatically without any resolution and/or compensation. 
 
In all these cases, you will receive no refund of the money you have paid. 
 
 
 
The car rental company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive at the scheduled time and date with all necessary documentation and a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds for the car’s deposit. 
 
 
 
4.3. 
 
Amendments 
 
 
 
You can amend your booking in My Order section at website at least 48 hours before your rental is due to start. 
 
 
 
Please note that if you decide to amend your booking you will be charged an Amendment Fee of 18.00 EUR. If you have purchased Cancel Protection you can amend your booking without Amendment Fee and cancel without cancellation fee up up until 1 hour before scheduled pickup. 
 
 
 
Please note that any amendment such as amendment of pickup or drop-off location, car group, rental period and driver’s personal details may affect rental price which may be different from what you paid initially. 
 
 
 
Please note: prices are based on the pick-up and drop-off times and dates that you arrange before your rental starts. If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused hours or days. 
 
 
 
Bookingcar will not take responsibility for modifications arranged directly between the car rental supplier and the customer. 
 
 
 
4.4. 
 
Refusal of Service/Force Majeure 
 
 
 
Bookingcar has the right to refuse service to any customer, and may cancel a booking with no refund or with partial refund, or delay a refund at any time for the following reasons: whenever necessary to comply with any law, regulation or government directive or request; or due to circumstances beyond Bookingcar control including acts of God, abnormal weather, outbreaks, epidemics, strikes, civil unrest, embargoes, war, and other force majeure events. 
 
 
 
4.5. 
 
Refund request 
 
 
 
If you didn't pick up your rental car, please contact us at support@bookingcar-europe.com and specify the reason. 
 
 
 
All complaints and/or problems must be received in writing within 30 days from your drop-off date. Bookingcar cannot process complaints made outside of this period. If your complaint concerns the rental car provider, Bookingcar will inform you about your options and give you advice on a course of actions. 
 
 
 
If within a period of 21 calendar days there is no reply from the customer to any of Bookingcar emails, the case will be closed automatically without any resolution and/or compensation. Not applicable for Full Coverage claim requests. 
 
 
 
Please note: For possible compensation in case of a flight delay or cancellation, please contact the airline. Please note that Bookingcar is not responsible for flight schedules or any inconvenience or additional costs incurred by you as a result of the airline's actions. 
 
 
 
4.6. 
 
Compensation Voucher 
 
4.6.1. 
 
You can choose the Compensation Voucher in the personal cabinet when canceling your booking. The Compensation Voucher is equal to the prepaid amount charged during the original booking of car rental services without any cancellation fee. Voucher is valid for 2 years from the date of its issue. It will expire after 24 months and cannot be extended. 
 
4.6.2. 
 
Compensation Voucher can be used for any payment made on our website and can be used for one or multiple bookings. 
 
4.6.3. 
 
Compensation Voucher can only be used to pay for Bookingcar services. Compensation Voucher will expire 24 months (2 years) after the customer receives it. 
 
4.6.4. 
 
The customer can see the amount of available Compensation Voucher by checking the email inbox, where the Compensation Voucher email was sent, or by contacting us by phone/ email, providing the customer’s original booking number. 
 
4.6.5. 
 
If you have chosen the rental supplier with a partial payment. It means that credit will be applied only for the prepaid amount and the rest should be paid on arrival. Also you can choose the rental company with the full prepayment to use it completely. Please check the Payments methods in this Conditions for better understanding. 
 
4.6.6. 
 
The credit from the voucher may be applied only on our website Bookingcar. 
 
4.6.7. 
 
The difference on your voucher you may use for future bookings. 
 
4.6.8. 
 
You cannot use/add the Compensation Voucher directly with the supplier or pay with it, the difference upon arrival. 
 
4.6.9. 
 
Bookingcar reserves the right to not issue Compensation Voucher nor a money refund for any transaction that is deemed to not have been made in good faith with the intention to rent a vehicle (e.g., transactions made for the financial benefit of the customer). 
 

Payment 

 
5.1. 
 
General provisions. 
 
 
 
The payment model for your reservation depends on the location and/or rental car provider used. At all times you are responsible for payment of any additional services/ costs requested by you and you are responsible for any other service charges applied by said rental car provider. 
 
The customer is obliged to check the payment methods of the chosen car rental provider (available on Bookingcar in the “Terms and Conditions” section ) himself/herself prior to making the booking or arriving to pick up the car. 
 
 
 
It is important for the customer to be aware that by entering their payment details and approving the payment, the customer has expressed the wish to enter into the booking agreement and that this agreement cannot be voided after a confirmation voucher is sent to the customer's email. 
 
 
 
Payment deducted by Bookingcar consists of the price of the service as well as payments for Full Coverage option (if chosen in accordance with the Full Coverage section of these Terms and Conditions). This payment is held by Bookingcar. It will not be mentioned in the rental agreement with the car rental provider. 
 
 
 
5.2. 
 
Payment options: 
 
5.2.1. 
 
Bookingcar charges the customer for the service as the prepayment when making a booking. Customer pays the rest of the car rental price, as well as any payment for chosen mandatory extras and additional services, directly to the car rental provider when collecting the car at the destination. (Partial prepayment booking). 
 
5.2.2. 
 
Bookingcar collects from the customer for the full price of the car booking on its own behalf and on behalf of the car rental provider including the corresponding price of the service and the car rental price. (Full prepayment booking). 
 
5.3. 
 
Payment methods. 
 
You may make the reservation online with a debit card, but at the rental desk you`ll be required to provide a physical credit card under the main driver's name. The credit card is a mandatory requirement from the rental agency. Without it we cannot guarantee that the rental agency will release a vehicle. Major credit cards include: MasterCard and Visa. 
 
5.3.1. 
 
Bookingcar processes and settles payments in EUR, USD and GBP currencies (it may be changed upon request). The main currencies in which prices are published on Bookingcar are Euros (EUR), United States dollars (USD), and British pounds (GBP). There is an option to view prices in other currencies and they will be shown converted based on the daily updated currency exchange rate according to the foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank. In the case of Full prepayment bookings, the principal currency is determined by the partner in its respective country and converted accordingly. 
 
5.3.2. 
 
Bookingcar can't guarantee customer cash payments to be accepted by rental car providers on a pick up. 
 
5.3.3. 
 
Affirm payments. 
 
Affirm provides BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) short-term loans and gives customers a way to spread out payments over a fixed period of time. When paying for a booking on Bookingcar, the customer selects Affirm as a payment method at checkout and receives a single-use virtual card from Affirm. The payment is made by Affirm, then a customer makes equal monthly payments to Affirm for the duration of the loan. Payment options are subject to an eligibility check. 
 
 
 
Note: the virtual card can only be used to make a prepayment amount on Bookingcar and cannot be used to pay the remaining amount at the car rental desk. Affirm payments are currently available for the U.S. customers only. 
 
 
 
5.4. 
 
Security deposit Pre-Authorization. 
 
 
 
A credit card pre-authorization is a charge on your credit card similar to other bank charges, with the difference that instead of taking money from your card immediately, the funds are put “on hold” for several days. 
 
 
 
A security deposit (after the closure of the car rental agreement) is held on the main driver’s credit card. Deposit is taken by the car rental provider to cover the costs of possible insurance excess/deductible, traffic violations, refueling costs, tolls etc. If no traffic violation costs or any other costs occur, the security deposit held on the credit card lapses, usually within 30 days from the end of the rental period. 
 
 
 
Your credit card must be approved for pre-authorization up to the maximum deductible amount before your rental. For this purpose may be used such cards as MasterCard and Visa. Please note that car rental providers do not accept VisaElectron, Maestro and Debit cards for pre-authorization. Please ask your bank if a certain credit card can be used for a car rental service and setting a pre-authorization on it. 
 
 
 
5.5. 
 
The voucher supplied by Bookingcar is your proof of reservation and payment. If the reservation is cancelled, the voucher is void. You must produce your voucher upon arrival at the rental counter. Failure to submit your voucher means you are forming a new contract between yourself and a car rental provider. It will charge you for a new reservation and you will not receive a refund from Bookingcar. Please note, that Bookingcar is not responsible for overcharges if the voucher was not presented during the pick-up. 
 
5.6. 
 
All payments must be made in the pick-up country's local currency. The price you are quoted does not include currency conversion fees levied from your credit card provider. The credit card company will perform a currency exchange at its established rate and may also charge the card for a conversion fee/ transaction fee. Bookingcar is not responsible for discrepancies between the price shown on the Bookingcar and the amount for which the customer’s credit card is charged if these discrepancies are due to the currency exchange rate used or the conversion fee/transaction fee applied or if customer and the car rental provider have agreed on a higher price than the price determined in the booking confirmation and a vehicle was picked up. 
 
5.7. 
 
In case you decide to extend the rental period, specified in Bookingcar voucher, after the collection of your rental car, you must inform and make payment to the car rental agency directly in accordance with the local rental rates. 
 

Price 

 
6.1. 
 
General provisions: 
 
6.1.1. 
 
Bookingcar makes every effort to ensure that prices quoted at the time a reservation is made on this booking engine are accurate in all material aspects. Nonetheless Bookingcar reserves the right to amend the price quoted at the time a reservation was made in case of a manifest or patent error in the price quoted. Bookingcar will endeavor to notify the customer as soon as possible in case a price quoted at the time of booking is incorrect. 
 
6.1.2. 
 
In case of a price change quoted at the time of reservation the customer may choose to pay the amended price or alternatively the customer will be entitled to a refund of all sums paid. 
 
6.1.3. 
 
The foreign exchange rates used by Bookingcar to display prices in the currency chosen by the customer are updated frequently. Foreign exchanges rates used by your credit card may be varied by the company. Bookingcar cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy between the price displayed by Bookingcar and the amount charged by your credit card company due to the rate of exchange used. 
 
6.2. 
 
In certain cases, but not always, the following may be included in price: 
 
6.2.1. 
 
Unlimited mileage (unless otherwise stated) e.g. extra payment per km. 
 
6.2.2. 
 
Local taxes and fees, road tax, VAT, airport charges and 24h breakdown assistance. 
 
6.2.3. 
 
Insurance. 
 
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and theft insurance with Excess. CDW is also known as Loss Damage Waiver (LDW). Please note that not all vehicles include insurance. Other rental car providers have different insurance system. 
 
6.2.4. 
 
Information regarding included and excluded from the rental rate is available on Bookingcar under the Terms and Conditions section, “Your rental includes” and ”Your rental excludes”. 
 
6.3. 
 
What is not included in price: 
 
6.3.1. 
 
Additional Drivers. 
 
Each rental car provider has its own policy regarding additional drivers. 
 
6.3.2. 
 
Additional Extras – child seat, GPS, roof rack etc. All additional extras are on request and payable locally to rental car provider when the car is collected. Please ensure you request all additional extras at the time of reservation. Bookingcar cannot be held responsible for requested extras to be not available by rental car provider. 
 
6.3.3. 
 
One way fee – It's allowed to pick up a car at one location and to drop it off at another location. Additional one way fee may be taken in this case. And is payable on arrival only. Basically one way fee is not included in the rental price indicated during the reservation (i.e. one way fee is also not included in the rental price indicated on your voucher, please see more detailed information on one way policy and its cost in local Terms & Conditions of rental car provider). 
 

Requirements for drivers 

 
7.1. 
 
Driver license. 
 
You must produce a valid driver's license for the country where the rental takes place. The driver's license must have been issued at least 12 months before the pick-up date. In addition to the normal driver's license, an international driving permit may also be required. Please note that the international driving permit is only valid, if supplemented by your normal driver's license. 
 
7.2. 
 
Driver's age. 
 
Usually drivers must be aged between 21 and 75 inclusive. Other rental car providers have different age limits. 
 
7.3. 
 
The customer must make sure that the driver’s age is within the provider’s specified age limit. Bookingcar cannot be responsible if upon picking up the car, the customer does not meet the requirements of the car rental provider. 
 
7.4. 
 
Make sure the main driver`s name and last name are provided in the booking, as only the person who will be recognized as a main driver will be eligible to collect a vehicle. 
 
7.5. 
 
Each car rental provider has its own terms and conditions for renting a car. Nevertheless, the main conditions of the car rental provider regarding driver requirements, insurance, deposit, payments, fuel policy, etc. You can find this information on our website, under the photo of the chosen car in the Terms and Conditions section. Complete applicable terms and conditions of the car rental provider are available at pick up. 
 
7.6. 
 
Age restrictions. 
 
Young drivers are often less experienced and therefore could be more likely involved in an insurance claim. For this reason, if you are a young driver, rental vehicle provider will ask you to pay underage driver fee. Check more information in terms of a particular car rental provider. 
 

Pick up and drop off 

 
8.1. 
 
Flight Information. 
 
For airport pick-up it is essential that Bookingcar receives the correct flight number and arrival time. You can do this either online or by phone. If this information is not available at the time of reservation, please ensure that you inform us at least 7 days prior to your departure, via email or by phone. Bookingcar takes no responsibility for a failed rental due to late or improper supply of this information. Failure to supply this information also alleviates the responsibility of Bookingcar. 
 
8.2. 
 
You will be required to show on a pick-up the valid driver's license from country of origin, valid passport and valid credit card with the main driver's name printed on it (whose name is specified in the voucher) to pay for the rental and block a security deposit. Please note that you can pay for the rental on Bookingcar with someone else’s credit card, but you will necessary need to provide credit card with the main driver's name printed on it on a pick-up. 
 
8.3. 
 
Bookingcar does not make a refund of sum paid and does not take responsibility if the car rental company refuses to provide the car to a customer in any of the following circumstances: 
 
8.3.1. 
 
No show. 
 
8.3.2. 
 
Showing up late. 
 
8.3.3. 
 
Unused days. 
 
8.3.4. 
 
Additional services purchased locally. 
 
8.3.5. 
 
You failed to provide a credit card with enough available funds and with the main driver's name printed on it. 
 
8.3.6. 
 
If a customer was previously blacklisted by the car rental company. 
 
8.3.7. 
 
If a customer arrives at the car rental desk under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 
 
8.4. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for a car rental and does not accept claims/complaints if a customer picks the rental car up on his own initiative not from the car rental company specified in the car rental voucher. 
 
8.5. 
 
Bookingcar is not responsible for any waiting time in case of later pickup time than is stated in the booking. 
 

Other provisions 

 
9.1. 
 
Parking Tickets and Traffic Violations. 
 
You are responsible for the cost of any parking violation and other penalties incurred during your contract period. The rental vehicle provider will charge your credit card for any parking tickets and/or traffic violations. You are also subject to pay administrative fees. 
 
9.2. 
 
Breakdown Coverage. 
 
24 hrs roadside assistance is included in the rates. Replacement vehicles may not be provided by the rental vehicle provider, depending on the reason of a breakdown. 
 
9.3. 
 
Complaints. 
 
All complaints and/or problems must be received in writing within 30 days from your drop-off date. Bookingcar cannot process complaints made outside of this period. If your complaint concerns the rental car provider, Bookingcar will inform you about your options and give you advice on a course of actions. If the complaint is related to the car rental vehicle, it should be addressed directly to the car rental provider. 
 
9.4. 
 
All disputes and complaints shall be resolved in accordance with the legislation of France. 
 
9.5. 
 
Fuel policy may vary in different countries. 
 
The main rule is that cars have a full tank of fuel upon rental and must be returned with the same status (unless otherwise stated in local Terms & Conditions of a rental car provider). If you return the car part full, you will be charged for missing fuel at the end of the rental at the price determined by the car rental company. 
 

Full Coverage 

 
10.1. 
 
What is Full Coverage? 
 
10.1.1. 
 
Full Coverage covers bodywork, glass, tyres and other excess you have to pay, if your rental vehicle has been damaged. 
 
 
 
Full Coverage compensates the customer for the amount of the deductible/excess deducted by the car rental provider or charged by the insurance company in the event of damage or theft. 
 
 
 
10.1.2. 
 
The supplier’s Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) may be included in your rental price. CDW limits your liability for the car to the excess – the amount of money the car rental company will charge you in the event that the rental car is damaged. Such items as windscreen, locks, tyres, undercarriage and key are not covered by the CDW. If you are held responsible to pay the excess, you pay it to the rental company. 
 
 
 
Full Coverage does not replace a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Bookingcar shall not assume any responsibility if a CDW is not included in the rental price and the customer failed to provide valid proof of his/her own CDW as required by the car rental provider and mentioned in the confirmation voucher. 
 
 
 
10.1.3. 
 
If Full Coverage has been purchased along with the rental, it will cover all unexpected losses related to local car rental agreement. 
 
10.2. 
 
What is covered?

Damage excess amount you pay if your rental vehicle is involved in an incident.

Excess amount for car theft. 
 
10.2.3. 
 
Charges for damage to the rental vehicle mechanical components that are not covered by your car rental agreement including bodywork, roof, undercarriage, windscreen, windows, mirrors, locks, wheels tires, hubcaps, engine, clutch, battery.

Towing costs related to damage. 
 
10.2.5. 
 
Costs incurred for replacement of a lost or stolen key for a rental vehicle. 
 
10.2.6. 
 
Processing fee (including admin fees charged by rental companies). Please note that when making a refund, the bank commission for an international payment is split between the customer and Bookingcar. 
 
10.3. 
 
What is not covered? 
 
10.3.1. 
 
Any incident or damage caused by negligent acts such as drunk driving, misfuelling, driving off-road, breaking local laws or the rules of the road, and other situations when you weren’t sticking to the Terms & Conditions of car rental agreement. 
 
10.3.2. 
 
Extras/additional services (child seats, GPS, etc.). 
 
10.3.3. 
 
Personal valuables. 
 
10.3.4. 
 
Hotel costs or other out-of-pocket expenses. 
 
10.3.5. 
 
Cleaning costs or damage to the car’s interior or mechanical parts. 
 
10.3.6. 
 
Bank fees or any differences in currency exchange rates. 
 
10.3.7. 
 
Third-party damages. 
 
10.3.8. 
 
Car damage caused by natural disasters, acts of war and terror attacks. 
 
Policy limitations. 
 
Full Coverage requests must be reported to Bookingcar no later than 7 days after the rental end. If you request coverage within 8-14 days after the rental end, a 30% late submission Service Fee of the confirmed refundable amount will be charged. If you request coverage later than 14 days after the rental end, a 60% late submission Service Fee of the confirmed refundable amount will be charged. Full Coverage reimburses damage and theft excess under your car rental agreement up to a maximum amount of 1 700 EUR*. 
 
 
 
*Or the same amount in local currency at the exchange rate. 
 
 
 
10.4. 
 
Full Coverage Cancellation 
 
10.4.1. 
 
To cancel your Full Coverage policy, please visit My Order section on our website or email us at reservations@bookingcar-europe.com, and we will cancel your policy. 
 
10.4.2. 
 
If you cancel your Full Coverage policy up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time you will be charged a cancellation fee of 18 EUR. 
 
10.4.3. 
 
If you want to cancel your Full Coverage policy less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time or after you’ve picked your car up, you won’t receive a refund. 
 
We may cancel your policy without refunding your payment if you’re threatening or using abusive behavior towards our employees, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect you of fraudulent activity. 
 
 
 
Please note that if you have purchased Full Coverage you still must leave the security deposit in full. The car rental company will block a deposit on your credit card as a guarantee on the rental car. 
 

Cancel Protection 

 
11.1. 
 
Cancel Protection waives all cancellation fees and allows you to cancel and amend your booking up until 1 hour before scheduled pickup at no extra charge. 
 
11.2. 
 
The current cancellation fees are as follows: 
 
11.2.1. 
 
If you cancel your booking 48 hours or more prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 60.00 EUR*. If your prepayment is less than 60.00 EUR*, you will not receive a refund. 
 
11.2.2. 
 
If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before pick-up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 150.00 EUR*. If your prepayment is less than 150.00 EUR*, you will not receive a refund. 
 
11.2.3. 
 
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before pick-up, you will not receive a refund. 
 
11.2.4. 
 
No refund will be applied for unused rental days. 
 
11.2.5. 
 
You cannot cancel your booking if your rental has already started. 
 
You can cancel your booking in „My Order” section or by sending a cancellation email to reservations@bookingcar-europe.com. 
 
 
 
11.3. 
 
The validity period of Cancel Protection begins on the date of its purchase and ends 1 hour before pickup. 
 
11.4. 
 
The price of Cancel Protection is non-refundable, even if you did not use this option. 
 
11.5. 
 
Please note that you can cancel your Cancel Protection option within 24 hours from the moment you have added it to your reservation. 
 
11.6. 
 
Cancel Protection option can only be added at the time of making the booking. It cannot be added after your booking was confirmed and you received the confirmation voucher. 
 

Roadside Assistance

With Roadside Assistance you don`t have to worry about who to contact or how to act in the event that an emergency occurs on the road.

Discounts and special offers 

 
Discounts and special offers do not sum up being valid only for new reservations. 
 
 
 
Discount or promo code can only be added at the time of booking. It cannot be added after your booking was confirmed and you received the confirmation voucher. 
 
 
 
All rates are valid for the time of newsletter sending being shown based on rates for a 7-day rental. Discounts are based on most favorable available offers. 
 

Jurisdiction 

 
The booking reservation, Terms and Conditions, and email communication, which is an integral part of the booking reservation, are governed by the laws of France and will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of France. The courts of general jurisdiction of France shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute which might arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and the booking reservation.
