Sixt latvia fleet expanded with electric carsSixt Latvija has supplemented its rental vehicle fleet with five new electric cars offering an opportunity to get to know the main advantages of these vehicles – economy and clean driving with no polluting emissions. At present SIXT car rent offers vehicles from two electric car groups – economy-type Volkswagen e-UP and premium-class BMW i3. During the event, where Sixt introduced to its customers and to the largest Latvian vehicle fleet managers a new service on the Latvian market – electric car rental, fleet owners had the opportunity to get to know and test drive the popular Volkswagen e-UP on Latvian roads. However, today already everyone can also rent a much more exclusive electric car richer in equipment – BMW i3. “Gone are the days of family cars being frumpy and boring,” said Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK Group. “And nowhere more so is this epitomised than in the new Volkswagen Passat which combines style and practicality. We are, therefore, delighted to be able to add this new model to our fleet. We know that drivers with an entourage of family members will really feel the benefits on long car rides. The Volkswagen Passat provides the perfect, cost-effective solution to avoid wear and tear on the family’s normal car for long trips – and means that everyone should arrive at the destination in comfort.” 16.09.2015 |
